Summer Research Experience for undergraduates in Nanoscience and Engineering

Interdisciplinary nanoscale research at the interface of biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Participants work on projects offered by more than 45 faculty participants from Vanderbilt’s School of Engineering, College of Arts and Science and School of Medicine.

Program Includes

  • Hands-on research in state-of-the-art facilities located minutes from downtown Nashville
  • Poster session, awards banquet, field trips, social activities, outreach opportunities
  • Enrichment sessions, including how to apply to graduate school, how to apply for fellowships, presentation skills
  • Opportunity for travel awards to present summer work at a national conference

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate students majoring in science or engineering
  • U.S. citizen r permanent resident

Award

  • $7,000 stipend
  • $500 travel allowance
  • Room and board
