Annual Cascadia Symposium on Environmental, Occupational, and Population Health

Call for Abstracts 

We are now accepting abstracts for the 2024 Cascadia Symposium. The conference theme will focus on topics that bridge occupation, environment and population health and that present opportunities for collective research and action by the participating universities throughout the Cascadia region. Keynote presentations will explore the impact of wildfires, the ongoing opioid public health crisis, and the persistence of related health disparities and inequities.

For podium presentations, ignite talks and posters we are accepting abstracts that relate to any occupational, environmental, or population health topics. If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please submit your contact information and a brief abstract (200 words maximum).

The conference organizers welcome presentations and posters from research that is in progress. The deadline for submission is November 15th, 2023.

Registration and Lodging

For those affiliated with an American institution, the fee is $375 USD; for those affiliated with a Canadian institution the fee is $415 CDN. Registration fee includes conference meals. The registration website will be launched soon. Room rate at Semiahmoo Resort is $107 (plus taxes) USD and room booking. Room reservations will be made via a link on the reservation page, when live. The booking deadline for the conference room rate is December 11th.
