Northwest Bioenergy Summit this October 11-12

Washington State University’s Center for Sustaining Agriculture & Natural Resources, and the WSU Energy Program, are helping the Northwest Environmental Business Council and its partners plan the 2023 Northwest Bioenergy Summit this October 11-12 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, WA.  We would like to invite you to attend, and if appropriate, submit a poster abstract to share your work.

Students selected to present a poster receive free entry to the Summit.

The Summit brings together diverse public and private interests for a comprehensive overview of the opportunities and challenges facing bioenergy development in the Northwest. From new funding sources and cutting-edge research to project and market development, the Summit will explore how bioenergy is uniquely positioned to address the complex interplay between energy generation, waste management, transportation, soil health, rural economic development, and much more.

Research Poster Submissions

The Program Committee invites students, professionals and organizations to submit brief abstracts (up to 250 words) for research posters. Abstracts will be reviewed to ensure content is applicable to the conference, but diverse topics are encouraged and will be accepted, including those addressing anaerobic digestion, biofuels, pyrolysis/biochar, integration of bioenergy and agriculture, economics, and more.

A selection of poster presenters will be asked to give a brief “Lightning Talk” showcasing the work summarized in their poster (guidelines will be provided). Proposals need to be submitted by September 27 via this form: https://forms.gle/necksnfmFgDB9NpH8. Registration costs for any corresponding student presenters of successful proposals will be waived.
