We are calling communities throughout Washington State to tune into the conversation of climate pollution at Washington State’s inaugural Climate Assembly. Join us LIVE to listen to the beginning stages of the Assembly process, which aims to find potential solutions for climate mitigation that will be recommended to the State Legislature.
After the Inaugural Assembly meeting, Assembly members will attend a series of learning sessions where they hear from climate change experts and interested parties on a variety of topics.
In February, Assembly members will deliberate on all that they’ve learned and will then vote on a set of recommendations that they will present to decision makers.
The question that the assembly (and presenters) will be addressing is: How can Washington State equitably design and implement climate mitigation strategies while strengthening communities disproportionately impacted by climate change across the State?
