NEW GRADUATE STUDENT PRESTIGIOUS FELLOWSHIP WORKSHOP

Friday, September 9, 2016, 2:00pm – 6:00pm

This Prestigious Fellowship workshop will lead participants through the process of applying to the top three national new graduate student fellowships- the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program http://www.nsfgrfp.org/ , The Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship http://sites.nationalacademies.org/PGA/FordFellowships/PGA_047958 , and the National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship http://ndseg.asee.org/ . It will be divided into two mini-workshops, as described below:

September 9, 2016 2pm-6pm – The Introductory Workshop, Pt. 1

Previous winners and WSU Proposal Writing experts will present on the fellowship essays that attendees will write. The presenters will individually answer questions/give writing suggestions to attendees. Attendees will be prepared to write the first draft of their essays by the end of this workshop.

October 8, 2016 by appointment –The Review Workshop, Pt. 2

Attendees of the first workshop will set an appointment with the panel of previous winners and grant writing experts to have a polished draft of their essays reviewed. STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THE FIRST WORKSHOP TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE REVIEW PANEL. http://orso.or.wsu.edu/workshops.asp#429
