SUMMARY:Ken Weiss Presents - Beyond 7 Billion: Why an environmental reporter decided to write about population growth
DESCRIPTION:Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ken Weiss set off across Asia and Africa asking the question:  “Can we live within our means on this planet?” He wanted to determine if the rise in human population was a significant factor in global sustainability. The answers he found took him by surprise and lead this longtime environmental reporter in directions he never anticipated. His initial findings were reported in the Beyond 7 Billion series in the Los Angeles Times. He takes us on a multi-media tour of his travels to look at the causes and consequences of rapid population growth. \nThe event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday\, October 20 at 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Honors Hall Lounge\, Room 110. A small reception with light refreshments will also be offered prior to the presentation (5:00-5:30) and Q & A session will be held from (6:30 -7:00). \n  \nFor more information about Ken Weiss\, click HERE. \n
