SUMMARY:February Climate & Coffee
DESCRIPTION:Build your network and casually explore opportunities to engage in research addressing issues related to climate change!\n\nThe Center for Environmental Research\, Education\, and Outreach (CEREO) is hosting our monthly Climate & Coffee session to bring together individuals interested in further developing or initiating research ideas related to climate change. The February session will emphasize opportunities to explore the intersection of energy and the environment. The session will be co-hosted by the WSU Tri-Cities Institute for Northwest Energy Futures (INEF\, https://wsuwp.tricities.wsu.edu/inef/) with in-person options in the Tri-Cities and on the Pullman campus.\n\nWe will hear lightning talks on current energy-related activities coordinated in partnership with INEF and an overview of INEF. The lightning talks will be followed by small-group discussions on potential collaboration opportunities with these and other existing projects that link energy and the environment. The lightning talks will cover:\n\n\nEnergy Ambassador Mentor Program (https://tricities.wsu.edu/energy/)\nCarbon sequestration (https://rmi.org/press-release/consortium-wins-3-million-in-federal-funding-to-study-the-feasibility-of-a-first-of-a-kind-hub-for-direct-air-capture-in-the-pacific-northwest/)\nHydrogen Hub (https://pnwh2.com/)\n\nAs always\, feel free to come just to listen\, to brainstorm from ideas presented in the lightning talks\, and/or to bring your own ideas on the intersection of energy and the environment.
