Primary emphasis in Summer, 2009: K-12 project to build a cordwood classroom at Columbia Springs Environmental Education Center. In 2008-2009, 250 K-8 students and 40 preservice and inservice teachers experienced the AHAS Outdoors! Environmental Education pilot curriculum. 40 Middle and High School students and 10 preservice teachers have continued with sustainability projects under AHAS Outdoors! (Major projects include students creation of Public Service Announcements and student directed curricular development.) |
